Case Study · Speech Therapy
In Google ranking keywords over eight months, for a bilingual Quebec speech therapy clinic.
How ProStar SEO rebuilt an English site that couldn't rank, gave every age group, condition and city its own page, and answered the questions families ask before booking, turning a nearly invisible site into a growing source of new patients.

Speech therapy for every age, in two languages.
ProStar SEO's client is a private speech therapy clinic serving children, teens and adults across Quebec, in French and English. Its speech-language pathologists work from in-person offices and through secure telepractice anywhere in the province, with no waiting list and no medical referral required. Its voice is warm and person-centred, and every clinical term is explained in plain language for parents.

Primary goal
Reach families and adults searching for private speech therapy, in both languages, across the province
Real expertise, almost no visibility.
Families in Quebec often face long public waiting lists for speech therapy, so many turn to Google to find a private option. The clinic had the expertise and the availability to help them, but its website barely showed up when they searched.
- A nearly invisible site. On February 1, 2026, the site ranked for just 27 keywords, only two of them on Google's first page. It averaged about three organic clicks a day.
- English in name only. The English side was a poor translation of the French site. Not one of 135 tracked English keywords ranked when tracking began.
- Few pages built for how people search. Parents and adults search by age group, by condition, by city and by price. The site had few pages matching those searches, and a young blog with a handful of articles.
- Clinical topics, anxious readers. Content had to explain conditions like dyslexia or stuttering accurately, reassure without promising results, and keep the clinic's warm, plain-language voice.
Goal
Turn the website into a real acquisition channel in French and English, on the searches families make before they book a first appointment.
An approach in four moves.
To build search visibility almost from zero, ProStar SEO deployed a four-part strategy, integrated in seven waves between January and August 2026.
Client and competitor analysis
Auditing the clinic's services, voice and full bilingual page inventory, then benchmarking each target keyword against the pages already ranking for it. Every page was written from a measured term list and structure, not guesswork.
An English site rebuilt from scratch
Replacing the poorly translated English side with a complete, natural English version in February, so English-speaking families across Quebec finally had pages Google could rank.
Service and city pages, wave by wave
Writing and integrating pages for each audience and need between March and June: children, teens and adults, dyslexia and dysorthographia, two Montréal neighbourhood pages and two regional city pages. Each page speaks to one search intent, in both languages.
Homepage rework and patient-question articles
Reworking the homepage twice, in January and June, and publishing articles on the questions families ask before booking: what speech therapy costs, when to consult, and how adult stuttering is treated. A further eight pages and articles went live in July and August; their results are still to come.
From page five to page one.
Eight months after the baseline, the site grew on every KPI, and the growth is entirely non-branded: clicks on the clinic's own name actually fell 10% year over year while total clicks quadrupled. About three quarters of all organic clicks now land on pages ProStar SEO built.

- Homepage 181 clicks, with “orthophonie” (320 monthly searches in Quebec) climbing from unranked to #9 +341%

B · Internal linking
On pages lifted by internal linking
Through the new service pages and the reworked homepage linking into them, the SEO work also contributed to lifting pages we hadn't rewritten:
- Free resources page From zero a year earlier 40 clicks
- Stuttering hub From zero a year earlier 17 clicks
C · English site
English, rebuilt from scratch
When tracking began, the English site ranked for none of its 135 tracked keywords. Today 31 rank, 7 of them on Google's first page, all on pages ProStar SEO rebuilt, including:
- montreal speech therapist adults Cited in Google's AI Overview #1
- montreal stuttering therapy #3
- bilingual speech therapist near me #7
- English pages July to September, starting from zero 105 clicks
