ProStar SEO is a Montreal SEO agency, founded in 2019, that works for clients in Canada, the United States and Europe. Its specialty is the verticals other agencies avoid or treat as generic: firearms, cannabis, adult, casino, plastic surgery, legal. Its method, Contextual Density, measures the semantic field of the pages that already rank and builds pages that match it. Before ProStar SEO sells AI visibility to a client, it runs the same test on its own name.

A Canadian agency up against US giants.
When a buyer asks ChatGPT or Google's AI Mode for "the best cannabis SEO agency" or "the best gun industry SEO companies", the answer is a short list. Being on that list is the new first page. The agencies AI models reach for by default are the large US firms with years of press, directories and links behind them. ProStar SEO had none of that head start.
- A size gap. Coalition Technologies, WebFX, Thrive and First Page Sage publish at a scale a Montreal agency can't match page for page.
- Two countries, two languages. A Québec agency has to be named in English for US buyers and in French for Canadian buyers, and AI models treat those as separate questions.
- Answers that don't sit still. The same prompt returns a different list on a different day, on a different model, from a different country. A single "rank" says almost nothing.
- Sensitive verticals. Adult, cannabis and firearms prompts trigger refusals or thin answers on some models, so every mention has to be earned on the pages the models trust.

ProStar SEO started tracking in July 2026 and built the work around one idea: in AI search, you optimize for how often you're named, because the position moves on every run.
Ask the questions buyers ask
ProStar SEO wrote 52 buyer prompts across 13 vertical topics ("Best Cannabis SEO Agency", "Best bilingual SEO company in Canada", "Meilleure agence SEO pour chirurgien plastique") and runs each one from the US, from Canada and, for French prompts, from France. Every prompt goes to ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews on a schedule, so each one collects dozens of answers a month.
Build the pages AI models cite
Each vertical got a service page built on Contextual Density, in English with a French twin. Those pages are now sources. Since tracking began, AI answers have cited the cannabis SEO page 403 times, the gun industry SEO page 217 times and the Best SEO Canada page 190 times. ProStar SEO's ranked-and-reviewed guides are cited by AI answers that list the same agencies they review.
Own the definition of the method
ProStar SEO published the research behind Contextual Density and the SEO Contextual Density Index, in English and in French. When someone asks an AI model what contextual density is, the model answers with ProStar SEO's definition: average position #1.0 on "What is the SEO contextual density index" and on "Qu'est-ce que la densité contextuelle".
Target volatility, not ranking
An AI answer is a sample, not a position. Ask the same question twice and the list changes. ProStar SEO doesn't report "we rank #1 on ChatGPT". It reports the share of runs in which it's named, across models, countries and days, and works the pages until that share goes up. One screenshot of a good answer proves nothing. Seven thousand answers do.
Named more often than the largest US agencies.
Over the last 30 days, AI models named ProStar SEO in 24% of the answers to the 52 tracked prompts, at an average position of #2.8 when named. No other agency reached 15%. These prompts lean toward the regulated verticals ProStar SEO serves, and that's the point: on the questions its buyers ask, ProStar SEO is the agency AI names most.
